Getting started
From your first sign-in to your first saved setting.
Who this guide is for
Dashboard changes are currently restricted to the configured Yume owner. Sign in with Discord and choose Yume. Public documentation is available to everyone.
Open your workspace
- Choose Dashboard in the website navigation.
- Select Continue with Discord and complete Discord’s authorization screen.
- Check that the account is yours, then choose Yume from the server selector.
- Start with Welcome to create a greeting, or Logging to choose log destinations.
- Read the short feature introduction and follow its guide link when you need more detail.
Make a change
Forms load the values Vault currently has stored. Edit a field, check the unsaved-change indicator, then choose Save. Save errors keep your edits in place so you can correct or retry them.
Use Save after editing. If a change is marked as requiring a restart, it is stored but will only apply when Vault next starts. Refresh after the restart to check the pending indicator.
Discard restores the last saved values for that form. Leaving a page with unsaved changes asks before discarding them.
Start small
Choose one feature and check its permissions before enabling it. For messages, use the local example preview to check the text. The preview does not post to Discord.
Use a controlled test in your community when appropriate. Avoid changing real moderation, permissions or member data only to test the interface.
