Permissions
Give each feature the access it needs.
Dashboard access
The configured Discord owner ID determines who can manage Vault. Server membership, a display name or a role named Owner does not by itself grant dashboard access.
Discord permissions
| Setting or command | What it means |
|---|---|
| Welcome and logs | View Channel and Send Messages in the selected destination. |
| Join and birthday roles | Manage Roles; the target role must be below Vault and cannot be managed by an integration. |
| Moderation | The relevant member or message permission, plus Discord role hierarchy. |
| Tickets | The channel and message permissions required by the existing ticket workflow. |
Check both role and channel permissions
A role may grant a permission while a channel override denies it. Check the effective permissions in the specific destination.
If a channel was deleted or a role moved above Vault, a saved setting may no longer be usable. Choose a current destination and save again. Avoid granting broad permissions just to hide a configuration error.
